To our Friends, Patrons & Supporters:
We have added new procedures for the safety of our community and small business owners. Under the CDC guidelines, City Market is implementing the following:
  • We require that everyone who comes into the market to wear a mask. This is Due to the executive order 2020-147 signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Monday, June 13, 2020. This executive order states that people in Michigan are required to wear a face mask while inside a public place. Most significantly, the order requires any business that is open to the public to refuse entry or service to people who refuse to wear a face covering, with limited exceptions. Violators will not face any jail time but could get a misdemeanor fine of up to $500.
  • Doors will be unlocked; however, limited to 60 customers
  • We have a spacious outdoor seating area on Adams Street
  • Additional sanitizer dispensers have been added to each of the entrance areas
  • Public hand washing stations are available at Booths #2 and #18
  • Social distancing floor decals are placed six feet apart for those customers who are standing in line
  • Frequently touched objects and surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected
  • Product sampling and tastings are to remain suspended
  • There will be no events/educational programming in Community Teaching Kitchen until further notice
