Keeping you up-to-date on what’s happening at the market…
Below is a list of the safety measures we are taking for our community and small business owners safety. Under the CDC guidelines and current state mandate, City Market is doing the following:
  • We require that everyone who comes into the market to wear a mask. People in Michigan are required to wear a face mask while inside a public place. Most significantly, the order requires any business that is open to the public to refuse entry or service to people who refuse to wear a face covering, with limited exceptions. Violators will not face any jail time but could get a misdemeanor fine of up to $500.
  • We are limited to 60 customers at one time inside the building
  • We have outdoor seating in the front on Center Avenue as well as a spacious outdoor seating area on Adams Street
  • Additional sanitizer dispensers have been added to each of the entrance areas
  • Social distancing floor decals are placed six feet apart for those customers who are standing in line
  • Frequently touched objects and surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected
  • There will be no events/educational programming in Community Teaching Kitchen until further notice
